Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT)
Tapas Acupressure Technique was developed in the 1990's by the acupuncturist Tapas Fleming.
Tapas Fleming trained as a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her early interest was in the treatment of allergies. Using acupuncture and acupressure she based her early work on the treatment methods of NEAT developed by Dr Nevi Nambudripad , a pioneering expert in the field of allergies.
When Tapas was developing her own innovative methods she initially used TAT to alleviate allergies and sensitivities, then she very soon found out that it was highly effective and fast at treating traumas, health issues, emotional issues, as well as many other conditions. The scope of subjects to use TAT with is unlimited.
TAT is a very simple technique. The fingers are placed on or over certain acupressure points. While the person is holding this posture the person is guided to put their attention on a series of statements related to the problem or issue. TAT requires minimal exploration of the problem. No analysis or re-living of the issue is required. It is a very easy & gentle technique.
TAT is also very easy and effective for children to use.
